Advice on Buying a Laser Rangefinder

By Jack Duncan

Now that the days are ticking down towards Christmas and we are running out of shopping time, you may be having a hard time finding the right present for that hard to buy for someone in your life. If this person happens to be either a hunter or a golfer, then we have some good news, we might be able to help.

The tough thing about buying for a hunter or golfer is that they can be very particular about their equipment and if they are like me, they tend to buy what they want or need anyways. However, that said, there are always opportunities to find something really unique and special as a gift. Perhaps something they aren't willing to buy for themselves, but would welcome from someone else.

My lovely wife recently surprised me with something called a laser rangefinder for my birthday. This gadget measures the distance to objects on the golf course or in the field when hunting. I have always seen other guys with them, and definitely wanted one, I just didn't feel right spending the money on one. If this sounds like it might be similar to your situation then keep going.

Buying something like a laser rangefinder can be kind of intimidating. These aren't typically items that most people know a lot about and that can be frustrating when you try to make sure you buy the right one. Based on our experience, we recommend you research the item online and find the one you really like. Once you have located it you can buy it locally or we would recommend Amazon. The selection and the price of Amazon is hard to beat.

One of the best things you can do is to find a variety of rangefinder reviews and see what actual users thought about the products. This will allow you to become familiar with the pros and cons of each unit without even knowing that much about them. Once you find a few that you like or think would fit the bill, then you are ready to make the purchase and get the deal done.

That rangefinder that my wife bought me for my birthday turned out to be a great gift. I had never bought one for myself as I didn't want to spend the money but after just one round of golf using my new toy, I was glad she bought it for me. It saved me a lot of fatigue running around finding the markers and spotting objects and calculating the right club to use. Definitely a great gift that I wouldn't have bought for myself.

If you are in the market for a laser rangefinder then check out our advice, do your homework and save yourself money on your purchase. That just seems like good sense to me. - 31499
